The 2020 Census is a count of all people in the United States. The census is conducted once every 10 years to inform decisions based on where people live.
What will the census impact?
- Federal funding given to every state for programs like Medicaid, SNAP/WIC, and the national school lunch program
- Your government representation on both the federal and state levels
- Building Georgia's communities and infrastructure for things like highways, hospitals, and schools
In March and April, you will be receiving instructions in the mail on how to log online and fill out the census. You can also fill it out over the phone, on paper by requesting a paper form, or in-person with a census worker at your home.
